Shelley: Day 30 - Repetition!
It's day 30 and I did a super work-out to try to make my 20 lb goal. I ran 4 miles and did some weight lifting. I burned approximately 774 calories which made my slightly higher calorie intake more reasonable.
I'm nervous to weigh in. I think I'm going to wait until the first so I give myself the full month.
Katie, Cindy, where my girls at? I'm dying for updates. Let me know how it's going! Good, frustrating, tempting, fun and all!
Today's Breakdown:
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
BMR CALC: (1,769+774)-1,325= 1,218 Calorie Deficit (3,800 calories = 1 Lb.)
I'll probably have some jello and maybe some popcorn tonight as an evening snack so I'll probably consume another 75-100 cals. All in all, not a bad day. I'm going to take tomorrow off since my body is telling me is time to let it recover before another 4 mile run and workout on Saturday. For tonight, I'm going to ice my knee and enjoy some jello!
TODAY'S TIP: Repetition!
When I'm at my best I usually have some form of repetition in my diet. You may have noticed that I've been eating the same breakfast samie each morning. I do this for two reasons: 1. It's easy to plan for. 2. I find them very satisfying for a reasonable amount of calories. When I was working I would always have the exact same thing for breakfast and the exact same thing for lunch. I ate A LOT of Progresso soup in those days. It was easy to take to work and easy to eat while I worked. After I discovered McDougall's soups (they come dry and you just add water, like a cup-of-noodle) I used those ALL THE TIME. They are super tasty, easy to transport, and lower in sodium. Today's tip is really, if you find something that works and satisfies you, stick to it!
Until tomorrow!
