Shelley: Day 58 - Muscle Mania!

Image
For those of you who don't know what I look like, the photo above is not me.  I'm just not that fit.  But it's inspiration.  Thinspiration, if you will. It's day 58 and I'm finally sliding down the scale again.  I've been running at least five miles every day and doing 35-45 minutes of weight lifting.  It's amazing to see muscles beginning to be visible again.  I think I'm going to take measurements today so I can appreciate my changes since actual loss isn't going quickly but my body is really changing shape, which I care more about anyway. I've been a little more relaxed with my food since I'm burning around 900 calories with exercise every day.  I love exercise!  Now that I'm getting fitter I just want more.  I guess I just have an addictive personality but it's nice to see it used for good instead of unhealthy weight gain. Shelley: Day 45 - If the Shoe Fits!

It's Day 45 and the next few days are going to be tough.  Tomorrow, we are going to Spencer's (my favorite chop house), Sunday we are going to my in-laws (I always struggle when I'm not the one who prepared the meal.), and Monday we are going to Benihana.  I've been thinking about strategies for my MIL and Benihana's.   At my MIL's I plan to grab a salad plate and use it as my dinner plate.  This usually keeps me from doing too much damage.  I'm hoping she has salad and fruit and I'll load up on those and try to keep other items at bay. For Benihana's, I'm doing my homework.  I looked up their nutritional information and the meal I usually get, the Rocky's Choice has 1,055 calories.  I am going to make a few small changes and smart choices (like ignoring my rice and letting Jason eat it the next day for lunch, it's a whopping 340 calories all by itself!).  By making these smart choices and small changes my entire meal will be 5...
