Shelley: Day 31 - Don't Stress!
It's so weird but it seems like when I work out I sometimes have a hard time letting the weight go. My body gets better, I'm smaller in general, but the scale doesn't seem to change. This week has been one of those. Last week, I didn't go to the gym to let the gaping hole on the top of my foot heal. I just kept dropping pounds. Now that I'm back in the gym, oddly, I seem to have "gained" which I know is impossible given how carefully I've been eating. So I'm guessing it has to do with muscle mass. As muscle weighs more than fat I'm guessing I'm just getting in better shape. I also think I'm in better shape because I'm noticing how much harder I'm having to work to get my heart rate up. I basically had to just stand up to get it in fat burning range at the beginning of the month. Now, I really need to run to get things going. It's a shame I can't just wish myself fit, I'd already be done. Oh...
