Shelley: Day 31 - Don't Stress!

It's so weird but it seems like when I work out I sometimes have a hard time letting the weight go.  My body gets better, I'm smaller in general, but the scale doesn't seem to change.  This week has been one of those.  Last week, I didn't go to the gym to let the gaping hole on the top of my foot heal.  I just kept dropping pounds.   Now that I'm back in the gym, oddly, I seem to have "gained" which I know is impossible given how carefully I've been eating.  So I'm guessing it has to do with muscle mass.  As muscle weighs more than fat I'm guessing I'm just getting in better shape.  I also think I'm in better shape because I'm noticing how much harder I'm having to work to get my heart rate up.  I basically had to just stand up to get it in fat burning range at the beginning of the month.  Now, I really need to run to get things going.   It's a shame I can't just wish myself fit, I'd already be done.  Oh...

Shelley: Day 30 - Repetition!

It's day 30 and I did a super work-out to try to make my 20 lb goal.  I ran 4 miles and did some weight lifting.  I burned approximately 774 calories which made my slightly higher calorie intake more reasonable.   I'm nervous to weigh in.  I think I'm going to wait until the first so I give myself the full month.   Katie, Cindy, where my girls at?  I'm dying for updates.  Let me know how it's going!  Good, frustrating, tempting, fun and all! Shelley: Day 29 - Change it up Bosu style!

It's day 29 and I'm realizing that the harder I work out the hungrier I get.  After my long workout yesterday I really had to work to control my need to snack.  I worked out again today but just did a little over a two mile run and then weights.  I decided to switch it up today to keep my body from getting complacent.  I busted out the Bosu ball (More in Today's Tip). I'm super gross (I REALLY need a shower) so I'm going to make this quick and hit the shower.
