Shelley: Day 28 - Skinny Cow, Moooo for less!
It's day 28 and I'm down 18.1 lbs! I still have a long way to go but that first 20 is soooo close! It's late and I'm bushed so this is going to be short.
I ran through the pain, and my foot is as icky as ever but I managed to squeeze in 4 miles and some weight lifting. I managed to burn 791 calories but as a result I was definitely more hungry than usual so my calories are a bit high today at 1,508.
Here's today's breakdown:
BMR CALC: (1,769+791)-1,508=1,052 Deficit for today. (3,800 calories= 1lb)
I don't know if I can lose 20 lbs before the first of the month but I'm going to give it my best effort! I don't know if this is just me, but it seems that when I am working out hard and eating tightly I steadily lose weight but if I stop working out for an injury or something all of a sudden I drop several pounds. It's the weirdest thing. If I stop working out all together then I go back to just steady weight loss until the next time I take a "break". I really should ask my mom about this (she's a doctor and research addict) but I keep forgetting. Anyway, it's just one of those odd things.

I have been craving ice cream lately so I purchased some Skinny Cow bars and cones. The cones have too many calories for me to buy more than one box (which holds 4, two of which my husband invariably eats) but there are other options that are closer to 100 calories that are excellent. My very favorite is the chocolate dipped mint Popsicle. I haven't been able to find them here yet but I'm on the lookout and I'll let you know when I locate them and empty the shelves:).
