Shelley: Day 5 - Take Night Off. . .Once in While.
The weekends are always pretty busy around here but now that Will (4) has soccer on Saturdays it's going to be even crazier. For those that don't know me, I take Friday nights "off". I have three kids under four and it can get pretty desirable to have a little alone time. just to keep me sane.
On Fridays, my husband takes over parting duty from 5:30pm-7:30pm (the kids head to bed after that) and I go do something alone. Lately, I've been seeing movies. It's a nice mindless activity. Plus, I LOVE, and I mean LOVE popcorn. It started with my grandparents and borders on an unhealthy obsession.
So below, just know my calories for yesterday are super funky because it was might night off on Friday. I'll include today's as well, just to show I'm still on the wagon as they say.
Cindy, way to keep running!!! Cindy is amazing and going strong. Katie, you are fabulous as well! I didn't know you liked to swim. That's so awesome! That is a great way to gain muscle tone while getting a nice cardio workout!

BMR CALC: (1,678.7+1,026)-(1,405)= 1,299.7 Deficit for today. (3,800 Cals = 1Lb)
Whoot, Whoot for me!! I love it when I crush my snacking self and keep my food in line.
As of this morning, I'm down 4.1 Lbs. The first weeks are always where I drop the most. Then it gets harder for me.
TODAY'S TIP: Take Night Off. . .Once in a While. Nights off can be dangerous for people like me because I do best when I don't deviate. However, with calorie counting you can't ruin your week with one night off if you keep it reasonable. Instead of buying a big 'ol bag of popcorn I stopped by Whole Foods and grabbed an orange and some pre-cut watermelon. I felt a little bad about the orange thing at the theater (it was REALLY fragrant) and I'm pretty sure I sprayed my neighbor a bit while I peeled it (she totally deserved it, she was sooooo loud the whole movie). However, I got to enjoy snacking without killing my progress. If it helps you unwind, take a day/night off once in a while and don't worry about it. It's far more important to stay sane. . .just ask my kids;).
Until tomorrow. . .
