Shelley: Day 68, Write it Down, No Matter How Ugly...
Day 68 and I'm feeling great! I'm down over 31 Lbs and holy cow am I feeling fitter! I've noticed everything that was just tightening up now has a little definition. That feels really good!
On the down side. . .I decided to use an online calculator to see what my ideal healthy weight is. It was 10 Lbs less than I thought so I have some serious work to do. I used this website:
http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=32&csex=m&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=10&cheightmeter=180&x=0&y=0
Here are my results:
Based on the Robinson formula (1983), your ideal weight is 134.3 lbs
Based on the Miller formula (1983), your ideal weight is 138.1 lbs
Based on the Devine formula (1974), your ideal weight is 135.8 lbs
Based on the Hamwi formula (1964), your ideal weight is 134.3 lbs
Based on the healthy BMI recommendation, your recommended weight is 118.1 lbs - 159.6 lbs

I didn't realize just how overweight I am. The good news is I'm already on it like white on rice, the down side is I have a long way to go yet. But I'm more motivated than ever. I am going to keep going until I am healthy and fit. My mother has diabetes and I have no desire to have a similar condition which is the road I was headed on before I started getting healthy.
Ok, so here's yesterday's breakdown:
A small note, I had a great calorie burn yesterday so I was a bit lenient with my eating.
BMR CALC: (1,695+1,116)-1,704= 1,104 Deficit (3,800 Cals = 1Lb)
TODAY'S TIP: Write it down!!! The best way to lose weight is to get honest with yourself. When I'm writing down everything, and I mean everything (even a single M&M is accounted for) then I do well. When I get lazy with recording my intake I suddenly start stalling my weight loss. I've learned I'm not very honest with myself. I am too generous. Also, when I force myself to write down something ugly, like my sugar cookie weakness from a few posts ago I find it easier to avoid future issues.
It's not always easy, but writing things down is the BEST way to lose weight. I have been using the Lose It App but there are several good ones including My Fitness Pal. Whatever app you use or little notebook, be honest and write down the truth. It will only be for your benefit!
Happy Dieting!
