Shelley: Day 62 - Sugar Cookies, Seriously, Sugar Cookies


First, Cindy, I just want to say Whoot Whoot!!!  Way to go!  16 Lbs is nothing to sneeze at especially considering you traveled and V-Day came and went.  We are going to crush March!

Ok, so, so far I haven't need a confessional but I am going to fess up today.  I've been doing really, really well and I thought I could handle making a giant sugar cookie without eating a bunch of it.  I wanted to practicing making one for my Sister-in-Law who is going on a mission to Kobe, Japan.  I am going to make her a giant missionary name badge, well, I was going to.  I've since decided that I cannot be trusted around so much sugar, butter and frosting!

I made two giant cookies, the first being WAY overdone and the second perfect but shaped like an egg.  I decided to decorate the egg and take it to my neighbor for her birthday and I was doing OK ignoring the sugary goodness until my kids started asking for some.  Since I had to cut them slices of the overdone cookie I shaved a bit off for me.  I do this a lot which is why I have a "Random Snitching" item that I add the calories into on my food log.  However, apparently, I lost my mind and kept going.  I think I've had close to 700 calories in frosted sugar cookie today and given that I only burned 818ish calories at the gym it killed the day.

The good news is, tomorrow is another day.  The bad news is, I have A LOT of running to do!

TODAY'S TIP:  Stay away from sugar cookies!!  And if you're an addict like me, don't make them!  I have actually made 2 Tbsps of frosting before to satisfy a craving and I would have been better off doing that than making a giant cookie.  I think I'm just going to suggest they buy a Costco cake and have them decorate it like a missionary badge.  I am 100% the kind of person who has to just run from temptation.  Only healthy food in my kitchen for the duration.  If I wasn't trying to lose weight, this would be no big deal as long as I was working out but I am seriously sick of being fat.  This war is so on!  I am shooting to be more aggressive in March.  I want to drop another 15 lbs in March and I know that will take focus!  

Cindy, thanks for inspiring me and not giving up!  PS.  I have some adorable dresses and clothes for the wee ones so I'll be swinging by sometime to drop them off!
